iSpeak - Employment Non-Discrimination Act

In the majority of states in our country, workers can be fired because of their sexual orientation. Do you support the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would outlaw discrimination in hiring based on sexual orientation?

Let us protect gays.

No, I do not, as long as they can do the job.

Yes, I would support the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would outlaw discrimination in hiring based on sexual orientation. However, I do not agree with employees outright displaying their sexual orientation in the workplace.

It is good to know that the bigots are finally coming out in the open. There has always been an undercurrent of racism in this country towards people of color. Just ask our brothers and sisters in the south. Hopefully our people will stand as one to stamp out this cancer once and for all.

When laws like this are in place, they threaten all of us! Today it is homosexuals. Tomorrow. it can be Irish, Black, Spanish. It can even go as far as being fired for political beliefs, religious practices, anything. If we don’t stop this kind of discrimination, then it grows and continues to erode all of our freedoms.

Yes, I would support the federal employment non-discrimination act which would outlaw discrimination in hiring based on sexual orientation. Because no matter what your sexual orientation is, if you have the experience and you can do the job, that should be all that matters.

It's high time that we put legislation into place that makes it illegal for employers to discriminate based on sexual orientation.

Why do we, as humans, need to always need to be in other people’s business? Growing up, I was always asked, what are you, referring to my looks. I have always had the same answer: what does it matter, I am human! At one time in my life, I had a button that I would wear that said, "I am an OTHER!", as on forms, “Other, please specify.” I really don't see any difference between sexual preference and what race, creed or color we are. We are all HUMAN!
