Michael Lyn

“We Need A Leader Of Integrity And Love”

“It has been for too long now that the world has looked at our nation with contempt,” says Michael Lyn, an electrician at New York’s Long Island Jewish Hospital for 20 years. “I believe that for our people, our nation and for the human race we need a leader of integrity and love - love that other nations can see.”

Lyn strongly believes that Barack Obama is that leader of integrity and that, if Obama is elected president of the United States, he will be a unifying force across the country and around the world. Obama’s message of change resonates so strongly with Lyn, that Lyn volunteered for eight days in February on Obama’s campaigns in Wisconsin and Ohio to try and help Obama win the presidential primaries in those states.

Lyn took part in Milwaukee and Cincinnati voter registration drives and Get Out The Vote Operations.

“With McCain or Hillary we’d continue on the same path we’re on now,” says Lyn. “You cannot be about a cause and expect to win a do the same things you always did.”

An experienced political activist, Lyn saw first hand what eight years of the Bush administration have brought to the Cincinnati area while canvassing there. “I’ve never seen so many blocks upon blocks of nailed up homes before. I didn’t know it was so bad,” says Lyn. “There were white as well as black people living in the ghettos. It’s not just people of color that are suffering. It just made me more enthusiastic about the cause of electing Obama.”
