Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Program Re-Launches!
March 7, 2019
30 members have been selected to be a part of 2019’s LIT program that started in January. LIT program participants learn worksite union-building techniques such as assessing your chapter, leading effective meetings, strategic planning, and mobilizing/organizing members. Sessions will include topics such as public speaking, political action, labor history, and more.
The next session, March 28th, will focus on organizing skills which include but are not limited to member sign-up, running meetings, and one-on-one conversations. The LIT program has graduated over 500 members who have created union-building projects to strengthen their chapters. For more information on the LIT program and how you can get involved in the next round, contact your 1199 Admin Organizer.
