On Wednesday, March 15, New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and The New York City Council Women's Caucus held the Fourth Annual Women's Herstory Month Celebration. The focus was on honoring women who have been integral in the labor movement.

Among the honorees was Winsome Black-Batton, a political organizer with 1199SEIU. The 1199 Women's Caucus and other staff members were in attendance in support of their colleague.
