Collaborative Union Contract Negotiations at University of Miami Hospital Off to a Productive Start

January 1, 1970

1199SEIU and University of Miami Hospital bargaining committee members kicked off union contract negotiations on March 6 sitting together to discuss issues using a collaborative approach.

One of our main goals is to negotiate a new contract by May 31, when our current contract expires, that meets everyone’s needs with as little disruption as possible to employees’ lives and the operation of the hospital.

1199SEIU members and management identified objectives for bargaining and we will be working together to refine them as we put together a new contract by developing solutions to meet our mutual goals.
