We Care, We Vote!

Our country is facing very serious challenges right now. We need to do everything we can to make sure our families live in a world where our health, safety and financial security is a priority for our elected leaders.

Witnessing the recent events that have taken place right here in our home state of Florida has made that even more apparent. It matters who we pick to be our elected leaders.

Last summer, more than 22,000 members of 1199SEIU had conversations with each other and filled out surveys to create our “Action Platform”. We need to fight for our issues so we are heard by every political candidate – during the presidential campaign and beyond!

1199SEIU members decided that our platform should include a $15 minimum wage, good jobs and economic justice, quality healthcare for all, protection of our rights and Democracy, and a healthy planet.

To make that vision a reality, we need to vote during the 2016 Primary Election and General Election. By voting we can make positive changes on the issues that are important to all healthcare workers.
In order to win the goals in our platform, every 1199SEIU member must get involved. We need to do everything we can to get our friends, family and neighbors to vote by making phone calls, talking to our co-workers and getting our community engaged.

Visit 1199SEIU.org/FloridaElection to check your voter registration or register to vote, find important registration deadlines and election dates, look up our list of endorsed candidates, find your polling location and sign up as a volunteer for our 2016 Election campaign.

Make it a priority to vote, and make your voice heard to let folks know that "We Care, We Vote!"
