TAKE DR. FAUCI’S WORD FOR IT: GET VACCINATED & PROTECT YOURSELF, YOUR LOVED ONES AND YOUR PATIENTS.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease is America’s leading expert on COVID-19. Dr. Fauci’s decades of experience, dedication to science, and steady demeanor have made him a trusted voice in the U.S. and around the world throughout the pandemic.
He has advised eight presidents on infectious disease and global and domestic health issues. Now, Dr. Fauci and other trusted experts like our own Dr. Vann Dunn, Chief Medical Officer of 1199’s National Benet Fund, are encouraging us all to get vaccinated. They conrm that studies have shown the vaccine to be safe and effective and that rigorous testing, absent of past racist or discriminatory mistakes, showed minimal side effects. Says Dr. Fauci: “I feel extreme confidence in the safety and the efficacy of this vaccine, and I want to encourage everyone who has the opportunity to get vaccinated.”
Let’s follow the advice of these trusted experts. Too much is at stake. We’ve already missed too many big moments and lost too much. With these vaccines, we can get our lives back. As healthcare workers, we are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine immediately. Don’t delay. Protect yourself, your loved ones, and your patients. Join your fellow members and get vaccinated.

By serving elderly, ill, or disabled patients in their own homes, they take an enormous burden off our severely strained hospital and long-term care facilities and their staffs while making certain that our most vulnerable population receives high-quality care without being exposed to trips into the community.”

"MEMBER VOICES"
“At first, I thought the vaccine was developed too fast, and then I listened to Dr. Dunn and spoke to a couple of other doctors. I also read up on it in the materials from the Union. Now I am supportive, and from the time I got vaccinated I was telling other members they should too.”
