We made our communities safer and healthier this Legislative Session!

And this Session was like no other. For the first time ever, we met with representatives virtually. We told them what essential workers have been going through during this historic pandemic. We also told them that our health and safety did not stop at work and that we needed safe and healthy communities as well.

Because of your stories and efforts, we won:

1. Protections for essential workers
    
2. Historic police reform
    
3. Medical debt protection
    
4. Nursing home reform
    
5. Affordable high-speed Internet
    
6. More transit throughout Maryland

 

Here’s a full summary of all bills that we won this year. 

Although we won a lot this session, we’re still fighting for hazard pay, paid family and medical leave, eviction and rental relief, cannabis legalization, and fair taxes.
