On Tuesday, April 26th, the healthcare workers at Beth Israel Deaconess - Plymouth overwhelmingly voted to ratify an unprecedented new three year contract!

Over three hundred 1199ers at BIDP came out to vote on the new agreement, with 228 voting yes! Highlights of the contract include:

$15 minimum starting rate for all;

3 agreement until October 2019;

Pay grade upgrades for over 300 positions, including CNAs;

8.5% wage increases for every regular worker in the hospital;

New increased differential rates; and

For the first time in recent history, there will be no increases to health insurance contributions!

This is a huge victory for the 1199ers and the bargaining team at BIDP, who fought long and hard in these contract negotiations with management! Congratulations to everyone at Beth Israel Deaconess - Plymouth! This is the moment for our movement. We are 1199SEIU.
