Healthcare Workers Union Celebrates the Hard Work and Dedication of Service Workers at Appreciation Event

Buffalo, NY - National Environmental Service Worker Week is typically the second week of September.  This week, we acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices of service workers who ensure health, safety, and care in our hospitals, nursing homes, and homecare. 

1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, the largest healthcare workers union in the country represents thousands of service workers in the eight counties of Western New York including Environmental Service Workers, Food Service Workers, Housekeepers, Laundry Attendants, Patient Care Assistants, Home Health Aides and more.

WHO:  Service Workers and their families.

WHAT: Service workers from Western New York hospitals, nursing homes, and home care will enjoy an evening of socializing, shopping, and community resource information. Dozens of community agencies alongside local vendors from health & wellness to food and work accessories will be on hand including: Community Access Services, Buffalo Urban League, Molina Healthcare, Best Self Behavioral Services, Key Bank, 716 Scrubbs, SC Pretty Boutique, Fetch Dog Treats, Creations by Nyree, Crocs, and more.
