1199SEIU will hold their 43rd Annual MLK Celebration at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) on Monday, January 15th at 11AM. This year’s theme is “We Come This Far By Faith.”
The program will include performances by Robert Ricks’ group - “Mentors Inspiring Boys & Girls,” Community Activist Anthony Hall and other performances to celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A representative from Governor Hochul’s office will also present a proclamation.
The keynote speech will be given by Mayor Malik Evans with remarks by New York State Assemblymember Demond Meeks.
The celebration will feature music, poetry, and dance. This event is free and open to the public.
