The caregivers of 1199SEIU stand in unity with our nurse family at USW Local 4-200, on strike to protect quality care, improve staffing, and ensure that nurses have a meaningful voice at work.  As the biggest private employer in New Jersey and its largest health system, RWJBarnabas Health has an obligation to be a leader in raising standards in the healthcare profession, not fighting against standards already enjoyed by tens of thousands of nurses in the tristate area. We call on RWJBarnabas Health to immediately settle a fair contract for USW nurses and at its other institutions, including at Clara Maass Medical Center where nurses are likewise seeking proper staffing and fair treatment.
