How do you celebrate Thanksgiving?

Every Thanksgiving we have a get-together with four generations of my family—my mother, who is the matriarch of the family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There are about 40 of us, and we have a big feast at my home. We prepare a huge meal with turkeys, ham, mac and chesse, and about a dozen sweet potato pies.

What does Thanksgiving mean to you?

We’re very family-oriented, so Thanksgiving is a time when we thank God for having such a close-knit, loving family. We celebrate having another year to spend together.

What are you thankful for this year?

I’m most thankful that I still have my mom in my life. I’m also thankful that I’m employed and working.
