A total of 98 technical and services workers on Long Island, New York, have overwhelmingly signed on to join 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East. There were 61 ‘Yes’ votes compared with just 16 who voted against.

1199SEIU is the largest healthcare worker’s union in the US, with more than 400,000 members in five states along the Eastern seaboard. We are one of the fastest growing unions in the country.

As well as having a larger say in their working lives, the newest members at Northwell Imaging voted to join our union to negotiate for the affordable healthcare, educational benefits and job security that thousands of 1199 members enjoy.
