1199SEIU, GNYHA, and the Afya Foundation Work Together To Collect and Distribute Supplies In Hurricane Ravaged Puerto Rico

With the Afya Foundation, 1199SEIU Secretary-Treasurer, Maria Castaneda arrived in Puerto Rico last week to help deliver medical supplies provided by the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA). The supplies were sorted, packed and loaded by members of 1199SEIU and the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA)and then donated to CREARTE, a charitable organization that is helping the people of Puerto Rico recover from the devastation and destruction left by Hurricane Maria.
