Between May and July of this year, caregivers at Tenet Hospitals were part of the first trial of new online ADO Forms. Whenever a caregiver had concerns about their assignment or staffing during their shift, they were able to report it from their phone.

During this 3-month trial, we compiled 50 ADO Forms at seven Tenet hospitals, and reporting grew from 5-10 ADO forms a month, to an average of 15 every month.

In August, dozens of Tenet Delegates met for their annual Delegates Assembly and committed to form Safety Teams to start a campaign to document the experiences and staffing assessments of the frontline caregivers at their hospitals. By documenting these first-hand experiences, they hope to work with Management to address the concerns identified in the ADO forms. Delegates believe the ADO forms are an important tool to advocate for patients and for caregivers.

Meanwhile, 1199 Delegates at Tenet Hospitals invite all their co-workers to use the new ADO Forms online when staffing levels in their department or assignments concern them.
