Since the 2008 economic collapse Americans have wondered when our government would start working for us again instead of the banks that caused the crash. When would we see an end to record unemployment rates and austerity measures? When would we see an end to our government handing over our tax dollars to corporations that don't pay taxes and, instead, ship our jobs overseas, hoard their cash, or shell it out as executive bonuses?
In September, a few hundred brave New Yorkers decided it was time to get answers. Their rallying cry was "We Are The 99%." And they were right. Community and Labor answered their call and joined them in solidarity. On November 17 we'll be back -- bigger than ever and taking action together once again.
Click here to join us on November 17 -- Occupy Wall Street's 2-month birthday -- for a National Day of Action like you've never seen before. We're going to celebrate it by taking to the streets in force.
If you are tired of seeing cuts to our communities, banks and CEOs getting away with crashing the economy without paying a price, or millions of Americans struggling to find work or stay in their homes, then come down to Foley Square (Duane Street & Centre Street in Manhattan) on Thursday, November 17 at 5 PM.
