Despite stormy weather, over 600 1199SEIU members, family, and friends gathered at the Rosemond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, NY on July 30th to kick off the 2014 political season.



The 1199 Upstate NY Division’s 6th Annual Political Action Picnic at the Zoo was a way to thank dedicated 1199 Political Action Contributors and political volunteers who understand the importance of politics in our daily lives. It also provides an opportunity for members to meet and mingle with their endorsed candidates while enjoying a fun night out with their familiesy.
